Our workshop on this day is called  ‘Circular challenges and the art of scaling innovations’ starts at 10 am.We will be showcasing the Bio-refinery project from Amsterdam and discuss how to move from a linear to a circular economy ultimately means eliminating waste and pollution by refusing, reducing, recycling and reusing. However, most solutions focus on end of line innovations (waste reduction) and are limited in scope. How can we shift the focus from waste depletion towards a circular design that rethinks production and consumption indefinitely and systemically?

If you like to visit the Holland Pavilion and Grenoble Metropolitan area (booth C403) on Tuesday 13 November please register at The Smart City World Expo in Barcelona.

What are the technical, economic or social barriers? And how to overcome these? That's what we've learned by doing in 20 projects in Grenoble and Amsterdam.
