The Age Of Energy: the first game to turn energy saving into something fun.

The Age of Energy (previously known as SmartSim game) has launched a new website and from now on it’s possible to sign up for the newsletter and e early acces beta testing team.

The Age of Energy works the same way as familiar freemium smartphone games. The only difference is that instead of asking you to pay 90 cents to improve in the game, they simply ask you to save a little bit of energy. Through the course of the game, you will face ever increasing challenges, gradually pushing you to reduce your energy consumption with up to 30%. But their main focus is on delivering you, the player, a fun experience by including aspects such as team play, going outside to meet up with other players for bonus resources, and competition on global leaderboards.

What are the technical, economic or social barriers? And how to overcome these? That's what we've learned by doing in 20 projects in Grenoble and Amsterdam.
