Smart Cities Information System

Supported by the European Commission, the Smart Cities Information System (SCIS) is a continuation of the CONCERTO series of projects, started back in 2005.
The SCIS also focuses on the energy dimension of ICT and transport that already includes city buildings, building clusters and city districts. It reflects the growing importance of innovation in urban planning initiatives.

  • The Project

A city operating entirely on clean energy. In theory, it's possible. But in real life? How to integrate new solutions in existing buildings, systems and people's lives? What are the technical, economic or social barriers? And how to overcome these? That's what we've learned by doing in 20 projects in Grenoble and Amsterdam.
