Vehicle2Grid

Vehicle2Grid technology stands for the possibility to use the battery of an electric vehicle to temporary store electricity generated and to use it or feed it back to the grid at a later stage. To be able to do so an bi-directional charger is needed, which can charge and discharge an electric vehicle connected. Typically the charger is by an energy management system, that regulates when the charger will charge/discharge and at which power. More info

Virtual Power Plant

Monetizing flexibility using a Virtual Power Plant, which incorporates solar-PV, load and home battery systems. It is not a real power plant but a virtual. Aggregating several small production units , like pv-rooftops, a power plant is created. More info

Dispatch and trading tool

Dispatch and trading tool in Port of Amsterdam

A dispatch and trading tool for balancing (unpredictable) energy supply with (flexible) demand within the Port of Amsterdam region. More info.

PV plant with storage design in Grenoble

Smart power management and storage to make a feasible business case for PV on tertiary buildings despite low feed-in tariff in France. More info

Demand response on tertiary site / Tertiary Flexibility

In the context of flexibility evaluation on low voltage installations, an experimental project takes place in tertiary sites aiming to evaluate and value flexibility potential at a local and national scale. More info

  • The Project

A city operating entirely on clean energy. In theory, it's possible. But in real life? How to integrate new solutions in existing buildings, systems and people's lives? What are the technical, economic or social barriers? And how to overcome these? That's what we've learned by doing in 20 projects in Grenoble and Amsterdam.

  • Our Activities

  • Achieved Impacts

    • 20 innovations in Grenoble & Amsterdam
    • 35,000 tonnes CO2 saved per year
    • 76,000 m² renovated residential buildings
    • 10,000 dwellings connected to a Smart Grid
