sq-logoEstablished in 1998, the Sanquin Blood Supply Foundation is responsible for the safe and efficient blood supply in the Netherlands on a not-for-profit basis. The Foundation advances transfusion medicine to fulfil the highest demands for quality, safety and efficiency. Sanquin also develops and produces pharmaceutical  roducts, conducts high-quality scientific research, develops and performs a multitude of diagnostic services, and provides education, instruction, in-service training and refresher courses. Sanquin employs approximately 3,000 workers all across the Netherlands.
