Heat meets Power

June 9 2016, DNV GL and Warmtenetwerk organized a knowledge exchange seminar with support from City-zen on the hot topic of Heat meets Power.

More and more it is recognized that (sustainable) electricity and heat infrastructures could be mutually interesting in stabilization of grids and in optimizing the business case for renewables. About 50 people from Dutch cities, energy companies, consultancies and construction companies attended. International experience was provided by Claus Nielsen from Denmark. From City-zen, Liander, Daikin, Afval Energie Bedrijf and DNV GL attended.

  • The Project

A city operating entirely on clean energy. In theory, it's possible. But in real life? How to integrate new solutions in existing buildings, systems and people's lives? What are the technical, economic or social barriers? And how to overcome these? That's what we've learned by doing in 20 projects in Grenoble and Amsterdam.
